Organized in 2005 The Colonel Crowther Foundation was established for the purpose of preserving our Civil War heritage through demonstration and education. The Foundation hopes to preserve and document historical events so that future generations will be better able to understand their past.

The Foundation hopes to recreate Camp Crossman, a training camp which was located near Huntingdon during the civil war. This camp will be used as a place for living history and reenactment groups to recreate our Civil War history. Other educational opportunities will be available as well, with courses and programs focusing on the Civil War and Colonial America. The Foundation also plans to erect a museum building where they can preserve their extensive collection of Crowther family artifacts and documents as well as other historical pieces in their collection.
